On the evening of December 14, 2024, internationally acclaimed tenor Mario Frangoulis celebrated his 35th year on stage with a special concert at Istanbul’s Volkswagen Arena. As the guest artist of the night, Burcu Hancı captivated the audience with her powerful voice and expressive interpretation.
Performing alongside Frangoulis—who brought together opera, pop, rock, and world music in a rich and diverse repertoire—Burcu Hancı took the stage with selections ranging from classical opera to multilingual works. One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the duo’s performance of “Olmasa Mektubun,” sung in both Turkish and Greek, which received resounding applause from the audience.
Burcu Hancı stood out with her vocal precision and graceful stage presence, earning praise from her stage partner. During the concert, Frangoulis remarked: “Burcu Hancı’s voice is incredibly flexible—capable of performing both musical theatre and classical opera.”
