Burcu Hancı graduated with honors from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and completed her master’s degree as valedictorian at Başkent University.

Gaining international recognition, she has performed solo on prestigious stages in the USA, South Korea, Austria, Greece, Italy, Germany and Latvia.


In 2024, she reached new heights in her career, performing at renowned venues such as Musikverein in Vienna and Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul.

With a voice that tells stories, Burcu Hancı brings emotion and power to every stage she steps on. From Vienna to Istanbul, her performances turn music into unforgettable moments.

At the 45th International Istanbul Music Festival, Hancı performed Villa-Lobos’s Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 with Cellistanbul and cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic at Aya İrini.


With the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, under director Yekta Kara and conductor Sascha Goetzel, Hancı performed as Marianne in the Turkish premiere of Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier and Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Within the BIFO Academy masterclasses, she worked with distinguished artists Luciana Serra, Eva Mei, and Renato Bruson.


Under conductor Gürer Aykal, Hancı performed Alban Berg’s Sieben frühe Lieder with the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hancı performed Britten’s War Requiem with the Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra under James Judd, alongside tenor Mirko Guadagnini and baritone Eungkwang Lee.


In July 2022, Hancı was invited as a soloist to the 3rd İdil Biret Music Festival at Bodrum Castle.For Victory Day celebrations, Hancı was invited as a soloist in the symphonic narration From the National Forces to Liberation, alongside distinguished artists.


Invited by the LAKMA Philharmonic, Hancı performed Verdi’s Messa da Requiem at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Prior to the concert, she sang Muammer Sun’s Voice of the Steppe in a pre-concert event.


For the Republic’s centenary celebrations in 2023, Hancı was invited by the Riga Embassy to perform in a commemorative concert with distinguished artists. She also performed in a special centenary concert at Ankara’s CSO Ada with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra under Rengim Gökmen, alongside other prominent soloists.


At the invitation of the Eskişehir Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Hancı performed Muammer Sun’s Six Folk Songs with the Orchestra under Rengim Gökmen. That same year, she performed in a Republic Day concert under director Murat Atak and conductor Ender Sakpınar.

In 2023, Hancı spoke at the Işıldayanlar Conference in the session “Women Who Illuminate Our Lives with Their Voices,” sharing her journey as a successful female artist. She continues to perform actively in Turkey and worldwide.


In January 2024, Hancı performed with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra under Sol Chin at Vienna’s Haydnsaal, presenting works by Mozart, Puccini, and Lehár.


In February 2024, Hancı was invited by the Cyprus Turkish Republic Presidential Symphony Orchestra to perform in a Valentine’s Day concert with baritone Tevfik Rodos, conducted by Tulio Gagliardo Varas.


Following the devastating earthquake in 2024, Hancı performed in two relief concerts. The first was at Fişekhane Main Stage with the Istanbul Chamber and Young Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Hakan Şensoy and narrated by Hamdi Alkan. The second was with the Turkish Stars Symphony Orchestra under Murat Cem Orhan, alongside Jülide Özçelik, Şenol Talınlı, and Burak Bilgili.


Hancı performed in Turkish Waltzes concerts with violinist Cihat Aşkın at CSO Ada Ankara and İzmir’s Adnan Saygun Arts Centre.


Hancı was invited as a soloist to the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra’s season-closing concert under Sascha Goetzel, performing alongside Olivia Vermeulen, Won Whi Choi, and Cumhur Görgün.


In October 2024, Hancı made her debut at Vienna’s prestigious Musikverein Goldener Saal, performing with the Staatsorchester Frankfurt under Ernest Hoetzl.


In December 2024, Hancı joined world-renowned tenor Mario Frangoulis for a spectacular concert at Istanbul’s Volkswagen Arena, captivating 3,500 listeners with unforgettable duets and powerful arias.
